The world's greatest vegan dessert

Nice cream?

Nice cream aka banana ice cream is a vegan breakfast or dessert made wholly from frozen bananas and the flavouring of your choice. It’s a much healthier substitute to ice cream as it virtually has no fat and you can have more of it with half the calories. The world doesn’t revolve around calories of course, but its an easy substitute to replace your ice cream with and help with the new year’s resolution of eating a cleaner diet.

Methods
It’s really practical, peel as many bananas’ of your choice, I usually use two, then place them in the freezer for at least 8 hours. Take them out of the freezer and place in a blender adding small quantities of plant based milk or water and blend, using a spoon to assist the blender with the blending process. Ultimately you’re left with a swirly looking cream.

Need some flavour?
If you want to add some flavour to your nice cream you can add any fruit of your choice, berries taste the best, or even some cocoa powder for a chocolaty flavour, or pb2 butter (a peanut butter powder with half the fat and calories of regular peanut butter) for a nutty flavour. If you want to be a bit naughty, throw some crushed Oreo’s or dark chocolate on the top.
